CANA SYNOD 2018

CANA SYNOD - 2018

2018_Synod
A Synopsis
June 6-7: Clergy & Clergy wives Meeting
June 7-9 : Diocesan Synod.
HILTON GARDEN INN (University of Texas, El Paso Campus)
111 W. University Ave.
El Paso, TX  79902

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. The mission of our Diocese reads as follows:

“We are a fellowship of Christian believers whose mission is to make disciples of all nations by preaching the Biblical gospel, teaching God’s Word faithfully, and supporting one another to the glory of God alone.”

This Diocesan mission statement encapsulates the Great Commision given to us in Matthew 28:18-20 by our Lord Jesus Christ before He ascended into heaven. At our Synod this year, we will focus our attention on how to fulfill this mission of making disciples through Church Planting. The Bishop in his Pastoral Address will explore the pivotal place of godliness in the life and mission of the Church. Dr. J. I Packer laments that “There was a time when all Christians laid great emphasis on God’s call to holiness. But how different it is today! To listen to our sermons and to read the books we write, and then to watch the zany, worldly, quarrelsome way we behave, you would never imagine that once the highway of holiness was clearly marked out for Bible-believers.” It’s worth thinking about.

Our Clergy/clergy wives and Synod meetings will be held at HILTON GARDEN INN at University of Texas, El Paso Campus(UTEP) located at 111 West University Avenue in El Paso, TX. The Courtesy Block has been entered into the system with the following information:
